UGANDA 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION

 Look at that smile!
They all made a Uganda flag for the celebration day!

 Of course we had balloons.

Teachers joined in on the celebration.
Yes we even had bubbles instead of fire works like the goverment put on!

This photo below shows you the top three winners of the flag contest!!!!
This was the week before and we had the story of Hanna wanting a baby and then baby Samuel was sent by God-----------------I used a Ugandan doll with the baby attached to the pouch in the back like they carry their children-------they loved it!
They received christian stickers -----------------they never had a sticker before can you believe it!

Just look at all those stickers they loved them------all the kids in the village that haven't attended school ask the school children how to get one and they said come with your parents to the school and attend classes.

This has been a busy week as always but very rewarding ----------------  keep Uganda in your prayers!

 They love to color(shade).
Even babies had a play area.

By Friday they were able to string the chain link fence!

In just one week almost 3,000 people were seen by Doctors, Nurses and we even had a Pharmacy to fill prescriptions. There was a full lab to do blood testing for Aids. We had counslers to lead people to Christ and to pray with them over any issues they had.  We saw over 600 children who heard about Jesus and they did shading(coloring) played with ballons, sang songs while waiting to see the Doctor.
The adults were able to watch the Jesus film while they waited. We had two gentlemen who volunteered and cleaned toilets non stop for five straight days now that's the gift of service. As you can see this was an incredible week!!!!!

BACK TO SCHOOL WITH NEW FLOORS!

 Back to school times!
Learning about God's promise to Abraham!
Learning from homemade posters that the teachers make!
This is a prayer room for the children built out of reeds.
Look at the new concrete floors Jesus had put in for us!
New floors and now they are praying for more desks this is what some rooms have for the students to sit on in class.

Eating their favorite snack on chapel day! POPCORN!

This group of boys played drums for me in the room we have chapel.
This is the room we have chapel in every Thursday see the new floors Jesus has provided at the school, students, teachers and myself all feel blessed, no more chigger bites from the dirt floors and also less allery  from the dust.  It was great to be back and teaching!

THIS IS IT THE BIG MISSION PROJECT FOR 2012 AGES 2-8 YEARS
The invitation read you must bring a school mate or neighbor or friend to attend this event so they can hear about our Savior Jesus!!!
Boy did they respond 170 children showed up!
We didn't even have enough tables and chairs so they had to stand at tables for big people.
We finally had to divide the group and put 6 to 8 year olds across the courtyard
This is Sarah my workmate at KBC with children
The best done craft in each age group from 2 to 8 years won bubbles to take home.
Of course they had Mango punch their favorite
 Yes------------Popcorn too!
 They loved the snacks
Our Bible Story was "Jesus Loves the Little Children"

It's games time for 2 to 4 year olds
 Game time!
 Game Time!
Jump rope contest for the older ones.
Of course music-----"Making Melodies" one of their favorites.

 Their making their Gospel Train
 Sarah handing out Crafts

It truly does take a village to serve the children.
As you can see by the smiles on our faces we had a blast serving and teaching the children. We only had one male helper Sarah's Son and his name is Bruno on the far right side of the picture(what a blessing he was) .  This was a First time event for our Missions Season(Ages 2-8) that last for 3 months at KBC thru September. Next week we have 5 days of Medical week were doctors, nurses, dentists and pharmacist will see thousands of the poorest and they will give them free medical care.  Of course they have children to be cared for while they wait for care and watch the Jesus film so I will be working with a group of ladies from America with all these children that attend(my 1st time) can't wait. Last year they saw over three thousand people and over three hundred saved--------------Yes Jesus is Awesome!!!!!!!!!
The church will be reaching out to hospitals-Boda Boda drivers-Secondary Schools in the community
and already went to a slum area near the church to spray for bed bugs, lice and bait for rats----they want to open all doors in the community to take the Gospel---you can seer I am blessed to be part of this church!

Helen
