Yes they love shading!

Here we are starting with prayer time.

This is the second hour group P2-P5.
You can see we have a packed house.
Each hour we had over 120 children.
-
The've come out to tell me good-bye.
Here they are in one of their classrooms.

 Recess time.
 Babies lunch pails!

Their lesson this week was the fall of man Adam and Eve! They always get the color sheet with the story on the back to take home and retell their parents, neighbors and friends.  They also had popcorn for their snack which is their favorite things you can bring them to eat----------even more than cookies!
Hope you enjoy the pictures-----------more great things are to come!!!!!!!!!!

Prayer-Preparing-Praising & Teaching

The next few picutres here and below is a preparing time for the following week to start the Chapel program at Goshen School in Kuffu!

We met as a group to plan and prepare for the weeks to come on organizing this many children to be taught in two sessions!
Of course we prayed asking God to be with us and speak to the children to come and that He would be glorified in all we do!!!

 Here is Top class!
Here is Sylivia the Headmistress speaking with the children.
 It's praise time.
 Little Praisers!
This is David one of the teachers at the school and as you can see they have a keyboard someone donated to the church at the school for Sunday's so we get to use it on Thursday Chapel day.
The first group Babies thru P-1 is leaving so the older one's can come!
Here they are P2 thru P5.
Yes they all got to do shading(coloring) and received the bible story on back to share with family and friends that don't attend their school!
This is their first week at school and they received a pencil or pen and an exercise book they were very happy.
 They loved the school supplies!!!!

He wants you to see his color sheet as well as his new tablet(exercise book).
I don't think you see many children in the US this excited over a tablet!

Well the first week of teaching went so great and the children were very excited!  I took 300 bags of popcorn with me for the students and teachers and they were Happy,Happy!  Popcorn is the most popular snack you can feed them ----------- they love it and I have a lady in Luzira who makes it for me and this gives her income so it's a double blessing to all.
I taught on of course the beginning (Creation)! Our first four story's set the foundation for the rest of the year with Creation, Fall of Man,   Jesus Birth, and Jesus Death and resurrection. We will be leading children to the saving knowledge of Christ and then praying for God to open their eyes to this great gift and love!  We also will be teaching how to walk with our Savior day by day (relationship),this discipleship is so lacking here in Africa.

Please pray for us as we start this new journey into the truth of the BIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sharing soon--------------Helen

Goshen Child Education Centre--Kuffu!

This is Sylvia the Headmistress and Pastor Samuel
 Myself and the Headmistress
This is a typical way of teaching!
Yes it's still dirt floors and as you can see they need many more desks.
 Children at play!!!!!!!!!!!!
 Exam time!!!
.
What was that answer again I know I learned this
This is one of the teachers desks!
This is on the wall in the office when you enter.
Here is the kitchen the cleanest one I have ever seen in a school in Uganda I was very impressed!
 Porage please.
This is a charcoal cake made of bananna peels/potatoe peels and other natural trash items!
These new charcoal cakes will keep this village from cutting down their forest to make charcoal---AWESOME!!!!!!!!
This is a 80 foot well that they have to pull up about 12 jerry cans of water a day and it took me about 3 or 4 minutes of very intense work to pull this thing up!!!!
You can't believe how heavy and hard it is to pull these cans of water up because of gravity!
Well as you can see God is doing some amazing things here in Uganda and I am so glad I can share it will all of you. It looks like I will be doing Chapel once a week here coming up and I'm very excited.
Love to all, Helen
